This Cookie Notice provides information regarding how Michael Kors (USA), Inc. and Michael Kors (Canada) Holdings, Ltd. (referred to herein as “Michael Kors”, “we,” “us” or “our”) uses cookies, local shared objects, web beacons, internet tags, clear GIF, pixels and other similar tracking technologies (collectively, “Tracking Technologies”) to collect information about users of or visitors (“you” or “your”) to our websites (michaelkors.com or destinationkors.com or michaelkors.ca (or any subdomain thereof)), native mobile applications (such as our KORSVIP Mobile Application ("KORSVIP App")) or other internet websites, applications or services from which you are accessing this version of the Cookie Notice or which link directly to this version of the Cookie Notice (each referred to herein as a “Site,” and collectively, the “Sites”).
Please note, we use service providers to help us operate, administer and provide our various Sites. Thus, where relevant, our service providers may use Tracking Technologies to collect information about you on our behalf. As such, the use of the terms “we,” “us,” or “our” throughout this Cookie Notice shall be interpreted to include our service providers acting on our behalf.
Any personal information that we collect via Tracking Technologies will be used in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which this Cookie Notice is incorporated into and part of. Capitalized words used throughout have the meanings described herein or within our Privacy Notice.
By using our Website, you are consenting to the use of Tracking Technologies described in this Cookie Notice to collect information from or about you, and to the storage of information on your device or web browser as described herein. If you do not accept the use of Tracking Technologies, you can manage or delete them by following the instructions in Section 4 below.
A cookie is a small data file that is placed on your web browser, or your computer or device, when you access and/or use a web site, which stores text that can later be read back by our Web server or third parties. Cookies are used to recognize your browser and may enable us to recognize you as the same user who was at our Site in the past and relate your use of our Site to other information about you.
Cookies may be “session” cookies (i.e., last only for one browser session) “persistent” cookies (i.e., continue in your browser until they expire or are affirmatively deleted).
A local shared object is similar to a cookie, except it is stored on your computer or mobile device, instead of your browser, using a media player or other software installed on your computer or device. A local shared object can store more than just text. Like cookies, it is also used to recognize you as the same user who was at our Sites in the past and relate your use of our Sites to other information about you.
Web beacons (also known as “clear GIFs” or “pixel tags”) are typically tiny, one-pixel images that are embedded on a page of a website or in electronic communications, such as an email message. These technologies help to verify when a certain page (or area) of a website is viewed, when a message is opened and when links or other content are clicked or viewed.
Generally, we use Tracking Technologies for the following purposes:
We use these Tracking Technologies in in order to operate our Sites and make them available to you for use/access, to provide you a Service or feature or general functionality within the Sites or to ensure the security of our Sites (including the security of your transactions on our Sites). For example, we may use cookies to remember the contents of your shopping cart as you move through different pages on our Sites, to manage internet traffic through the correct servers, or to allow or block access to restricted parts of our Sites, etc.
We use these Tracking Technologies for functional purposes, such as remembering your user name and password to keep you automatically logged in until you log-out or remembering your preferences, like your preferred language or the region that you are in.
We use these technologies to monitor and analyze how you use our Sites and online services (such as emails or our KORSVIP App or program). For example, we may place cookies that allow us (i) to measure the time of your requests to our servers and our responses, (ii) to test new features, improve or fix technical issues on our Sites, (iii) to record statistics about Site Usage, (iv) to track your activities on our Sites and emails, (v) to track the places from which you come to our Sites, and (vi) to monitor the effectiveness of our online advertisements and marketing efforts by tracking when users have made a purchase after following a link to our website from another online location, so that we can compensate the other party for sending us their business.
We use Tracking Technologies and allow third party companies to deliver advertisements to you both on our Sites and elsewhere online. For example, our Sites contain integrations with social media platforms (including, for example, Meta, Twitter and Pinterest), which enable those platforms to place cookies, tags and local shared objects on your browser, computer or device. We also use Tracking Technologies to better tailor advertisements to your interests based on your online or offline activities, also known as Targeted Advertising.
To learn more about Targeted Advertising, in general, please visit the Network Advertising Initiative (NAI) at www.networkadvertising.org and the Digital Advertising Alliance (DAA) at www.aboutads.info for information (US) or the Digital Advertising Alliance of Canada (DAAC) (Canada) at www.youradchoices.ca. For more details concerning our Targeted Advertising practices, including the third-party technology providers and social media partners we use in connection with Targeted Advertising, and how to opt-out of Targeted Advertising directly with these third parties, please refer to Section 4 of our Privacy Notice.
Most of the Tracking Technologies described above on our Sites are set by us or our service providers at our direction (“First Party Cookies”). Other times, authorized third-parties may place or use Tracking Technologies on our Sites for the purposes of analytics or Targeted Advertising, and then report information back to us ("Third Party Cookies").
We use Tracking Technologies on our Sites to make sure you can access and use the Sites easily. Where Tracking Technologies are essential, meaning, they are necessary in order for us provide our Sites, such Tracking Technologies cannot be altered, but others, such as those used for functional, performance/analytics, or advertising/targeting purposes, can be managed or deleted by you (depending on the device or browser you use). Please note, however, that refusing certain Tracking Technologies may, in some cases, inhibit or preclude your use or enjoyment of our Sites or some of the Site features.

To manage cookies related specifically to Analytics, you may:
In the US, the NAI and the DAA each offer consumers choices with respect to their privacy in the context of Targeted Advertising by those third party providers who participate in their respective opt-out frameworks; please visit the NAI Opt Out page or the DAA’s Consumer Choice Tool for more information and resources. In Canada, please visit the DAAC’s Choice Tools.
Additionally, the third-party technology providers and social media partners we use in connection with Targeted Advertising allow you to opt out of their use of your collected information for such purposes. The methods for managing local shared objects are different than the methods for managing cookies. Depending on how local shared objects are enabled on your computer or device, you may be able to manage them using software settings. For information on managing Flash cookies, for example, click here.
You may limit the use or placement of web beacons or tags by managing or deleting the cookies that interact with them. As such, the same process you follow to manage or delete cookies using your applicable browser or device settings may affect web beacons and other tags.
