THE MET GALA
A NIGHT AT THE MET
The Met Gala left its mark on the first Monday in May and this year, as always, Michael Kors was fashionably front and center. Opening the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s new spring 2025 Costume Institute exhibition “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style,” celebrating Black dandyism, this year’s fête featured the dress code “Tailored for You.” Michael arrived in style with his date for the evening—Grammy Award-winning musician Megan Thee Stallion—in addition to creating looks for actress and musician Suki Waterhouse, supermodel Ugbad Abdi, Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Branden Jacobs-Jenkins, award-winning director, actor and musician Whitney White, and Harper’s Bazaar Editor-in-Chief Samira Nasr. Pristine tailoring, glittering crystals and meticulous hand embroidery stole the show as Michael and his guests celebrated the night in style.
